The Medication Technician Program at Unity Nursing Institute will teach students state-approved skills, tasks, and responsibilities of medication administration safety in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
When the Medication Technician Program is completed, you will be approved to practice in skilled nursing facilities or long-term care facilities.
Please Note: Medication testing is required for anyone administering drugs to residents in any adult care home, assisted living facility or family care home in North Carolina.

| High School or College Transcript (or GED) | International transcripts MUST be evaluated by American standards (ALWAYS get a Course by Course Evaluation!). |
| Social Security Card | Must NOT be laminated and must be readable. |
| Two Forms of Identification | Photo ID and/or US Passport (Legal name must match both). |
| Criminal Background Check | Valid within 6 months of the first day of class. Also available through the school for $40. Click here for the document. |
| Urine Drug Screen | Valid within 6 months of the first day of class. Can be taken at CVS Minute Clinic or Urgent Care. Also available through the school for $40. |
